How does independence work?
The specialist works as an independent contractor under a services agreement. Digital Tribes is contract and billing partner — not the employer. The professional decides how work is done, with own tools and planning, within the agreed scope. Where it fits we capture scope and outcomes in a Statement of Work. Whether an engagement fits depends on the facts in practice — they must match what we agree.
What does it cost?
Indicative: NL senior circa €90–120/hr all-in; nearshore senior circa €45–65/hr. Exact after intake.
How do you handle DBA?
Every engagement uses Statement of Work, documented independence, own tools where needed and no faux hierarchy. We review per trajectory — not once at kick-off. The Rent Company has run on this model for 3+ years.
What's the difference between hub contracting and direct matching?
Hub contracting: Digital Tribes is your contract and billing party (one invoice). Direct matching: we match, you contract with the specialist.
What if it doesn't fit?
Say so. We find another specialist.
How fast can you actually deliver?
First proposals often within 16 hours of your request. Average time-to-match around 5 working days. For near- and offshore, fast go-live after the first intake on average; Netherlands-based often faster (sometimes the next business day).
Is nearshore quality good enough?
We screen nearshore to the same bar as NL: technical depth, references and a live interview. Seniors with relevant product experience — not “cheap seats only”.
Do you also do permanent hires?
Yes. Besides flex capacity we run recruitment & selection for permanent tech roles. No cure, no pay is available where it fits.
How are you different from a freelance marketplace?
On a marketplace you search and filter yourself and carry quality and continuity risk. With us a human picks from the network — everyone is pre-vetted. We handle matching, the route and — on mismatch — another specialist.
What are your minimum requirements?
No rigid minimum duration. We prefer long engagements but happily start small to build trust.
